Film Breakfast with Dance

What's it about?

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Kultur&Kino Kirchdorf will host its first Film Breakfast with Dance. The tanzland association will present the premiere of the film portrait of the Albanian dance group Valltaret Besa Bes from Kirchdorf an der Krems, as well as 'Zuagroast' – a film by the internationally successful dancers Simon Mayer and Hannah Shakti Bühler (Art in Motion). The documentary film 'Zuagroast' was created in collaboration with ZIMT Braunau – Center for Interculturality, Togetherness, and Participation, and was produced as part of the Festival of Regions (Realistische Träume, 2025) in the Innviertel. The project included short interviews and performative bridge dances on several Inn bridges between Braunau and Schärding, highlighting dance as a living symbol of connection across geographical and social boundaries. The film portrait of the dance group 'Valltaret Besa Bes' from Kirchdorf an der Krems depicts a young generation that preserves a piece of Albanian culture through dance and music, keeping history and tradition alive today. Following the screening, the artists will be available for questions during a discussion with the audience and will surprise with a shared dance moment to conclude, fostering connection and movement.
