What's it about?
DON COSSACK CHOIR SERGE JAROFF® Artistic Director: WANJA HLIBKA will perform on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the parish church of Schiedlberg. The original Don Cossack Choir Serge Jaroff was probably the most famous choir worldwide for almost six decades from 1921 to 1979. For many years now, the choir has once again been under the artistic direction of Wanja Hlibka, formerly Serge Jaroff's youngest soloist, with undiminished popularity in major concert halls and cathedrals in Europe and, since 2007, also in the Far East. Further major tours through America and Australia are in preparation. It is remarkable that the choir is received with the same euphoria and enthusiasm in all countries and foreign cultures, which again confirms that music can connect people and nations, even if the language is not understood by everyone. The way the songs are interpreted, as well as the vocal abilities of the singers, who all appear as soloists, also guarantee that the typical sonic characteristics of this choir are preserved. The parish of Schiedlberg, as the organizer, looks forward to your visit. Small dishes and drinks will be offered after the concert.
