They attend yoga classes and walk the Camino de Santiago, they want to spice up their sex lives or make jam. Sounds frightening? It is. But above all, very, very funny... A small consolation: old-age puberties are the largest demographic in Europe. You are not alone. Es ist nur eine Phase, Hase is one of the funniest programs of the year for me. There he is again! The hunter of lost humor, the prince of stand-up comedy... there was movement in the diaphragms again. Laughter was allowed... Two hours he pounded the mostly over-40 audience with a staccato of punchlines. There was no escape. ... they stared at a furious Jäger. What fun. The guests caused two sold-out shows and experienced an utterly unleashed Edi Jäger in top form. In 'Es ist nur eine Phase, Hase' there is not a single quiet minute. ... Jäger fires one humorous situation after another into the auditorium, the punchlines pile up sometimes because there is no more space for them in sequence. The completely overwhelmed veteran trying to handle a loud party in pajamas. The mid-ager becoming a plaything of the kneading lifeguard in a Turkish hamam. The wellness-pressured husband who, in a Thai massage room expecting a young and slender partner, instead becomes the victim of an elephantine and violent Tom. Once again, it is Jäger's triumvirate of talents—mimicry, gestures, language—that describe the stories and so-called fictional experiences of the goalkeeper so vividly that one had to be careful not to collapse from laughter, although some signs of hyperventilation were already audible in the audience. A great Edi Jäger... a literally breathtaking evening and one can rightly claim that no audience has collectively soiled themselves before. Quod erat demonstrandum!
