A night watchman in traditional costume with halberd and lantern awaits you with the famous night watchman's song "All my dear lords and ladies, let me tell you...". After greeting with a glass of sparkling wine at the night watchman's restaurant, the night watchman will accompany you on a dine-around through the lively history of the medieval romantic city of Steyr to very special surprise locations: Climb up the city parish church tower: over 228 steps with breathtaking views over the old town. Appetizer at Steyrer Kripperl: performance of medieval craft scenes from the oldest still-operating marionette theater (since 1850), 455 figures, dialect, about 10 minutes. "Steyrdorf Soup" by candlelight in the Michaelerkeller: a two-story vaulted cellar from the 15th/16th century, barrel halls, cobblestone paving, former wine cellar of the Michaeler Church, presentation of the oldest film material existing from Steyr, colorful Steyr lanterns to take home, medieval music...
