
Austrians abroad recognize each other immediately, especially by their accent, but also by their character. Johanna Milz, Elisabeth Gabriel, and Liese Lyon experienced this as well. All three grew up in Austria. All three ended up in Frankfurt (and there in the theater). During their joint meetings, the three of them started singing casually — primarily folk songs they brought from Austria to Germany. Through singing, they discovered even more Austrian songs, including numerous yodels. The Jodlklub was founded — and soon became very popular and always enjoyed listening to. The trinity of the Jodlklub describes themselves as follows: "We sing a cappella: yodels and three-part songs from various regions of Austria. Our repertoire consists of songs we sang in our childhood and youth with our families or in choirs. We are continually impressed by ..."
