Themed tour: Day of Remembrance for the Genocide of the Roma and Sinti

What's it about?

Hardly any population group in Austria was as comprehensively affected by the National Socialist persecution and extermination policy as the Roma and Sinti. As early as 1939, the first members of this ethnic group were interned in the Mauthausen concentration camp. Defamed as "asocials", the few survivors were still affected by official harassment and social exclusion decades later.
