What's it about?

10 AM - 5 PM folding, clamping, tying, indigo dyeing: this creates the pattern. For 4 to 12 people Shibori is a Japanese resist method where, through various folding and tying techniques, the indigo can only completely build up in certain places, thereby creating a pattern. Morning: Coffee/tea upon arrival, workshop tour, introduction to the Shibori technique, folding, ironing, clamping, tying fabrics. Lunch break (snack or eating out is not included in the price) Afternoon: Introduction to indigo vat dyeing, dyeing of the prepared pieces. The workshop is intended for people interested in textiles who want to do origami with fabric. It's about precision in folding, but also about a relaxed approach to the material and an open-ended approach, a mixture of planned action and chance. No prior knowledge is required. You can also bring your own material (only natural fibers: cotton, linen, hemp fiber, viscose, silk, etc. as a piece of fabric, scarf, T-shirt, skirt, jacket, trousers or similar) and we will look together at what can be made from it.
