What's it about?
FRISCHLING 2027FREISTÄDTER FRISCHLING 2027 32nd Freistadt Cabaret & Small Arts Award Fri. 5th & Sat. 6th March 2027, starting at 7:30 PM For the 32nd time, the Local stage invites to FRISCHLING. Four artists with their first or second program, who are still largely unknown in the region, are invited each year to perform an hour from their program in Freistadt. Unlike other cabaret competitions, where the performance time is limited to a few minutes, Frischling gives the artists time to present their program, develop story arcs, and win over the audience. The first Frischling was won in 1995 by Gunkl and Otto Lechner. Among the previous winners are prominent names such as RaDeschnig, Paul Pizzera, Lisa Eckhart, Martin Frank, and Benedikt Mitmannsgruber. The jury prize winner is awarded a performance organized and funded by the cooperation partner AK-Kultur-OÖ in Linz. Application: Please send an email with expressive video material (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) and a few lines about the program & biography by early December 2026 to office@local-buehne.at Tickets: local-buehne.at/tickets As a prize, the jury winner receives a performance at the Arbeiterkammer Linz – organized and sponsored by AK-Kultur OÖ.
