Stubnblues 2.0 - Wesenheiten Multivoiced, dynamic, and as a collective - Stubnblues 2.0 presents itself both live and on the second album "Wesenheiten" in fresh sound colors: The new beginning with Bina Blumencron (vocals), Marlene Lacherstorfer (bass), Stefan Schubert (vocals and guitar), Markus Marageter (piano and Hammond organ), Hubert Hofherr (harmonica and vocals), and Camillo Jenny (percussion) has been successful because the band manages to preserve the familiar while also adding new accents. The highly regarded debut album "Wo da Rauch hiziagt…" in a new formation, which also attempted to musically process the premature death of Willi Resetarits, was rewarded with a nomination for the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2025. With "Wesenheiten," Stubnblues 2.0 continues, without forgetting. Between lightness and melancholy, the new songs tell of walking and staying, chosen solitude and failed togetherness, longing to be understood and the attempt to understand oneself. Small stories about the absurdities of everyday life, which are somehow the same for everyone and yet completely different, oscillate between longing and reality. In a duet with dialect poetry, they musically focus more than ever on the unmistakable, rhythmic sound of the band. The work was created between Salzburg and Trieste, where "Kapellmeister" Stefan Schubert not only refined his own compositions but also integrated contributions from other band members into a coherent whole. Live in 2026, audiences can look forward to the loud and soft tones of life, when new works meet familiar classics.
