What's it about?
With a sharp eye, lots of humor, and a sense for the subtle (and not so subtle) peculiarities of the land, he serves Austrian delicacies on a silver platter. Tradition meets modern absurdities, dialect blends with dry humor, and all of this takes place in an evening full of surprises. Der Kuseng takes the audience on a journey through the local depths, from bizarre everyday situations to the big questions of coexistence. And the audience? They laugh their way through the evening or see themselves reflected. The program covers a wide range of topics, inspired by the artist's own versatility. Growing up as a former refugee child in Upper Austria, he became a resident of Vienna in 2016 and made a name for himself not only as an LGBTIQ+ activist but also as a rapper. His experiences between searching for identity, social engagement, and artistic expression shape his worldview. This perspective is sometimes sharp-tongued, sometimes contemplative, but always with a good dose of self-irony. Personal experiences are cleverly embedded into political contexts.
