What's it about?
Stand-up comedy about religion and church can be a lot of fun. Lainer & Aigner have already proven this with "Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr seid die Flaschen" and "Aktion Schaf". They have not only conquered comedy stages but also parish halls. Even some clergy (with or without a girlfriend) enjoyed it. Why a third program on the topic of religion after two 'secular' ones? First, because the church's rapid pace of reform keeps most issues as fresh as on the first day. Second, because Lainer & Aigner do not want to leave Christianity to fascists or pale clergy. For them, it’s mainly about practice: whether someone believes in one God, many gods, or none — what matters is the effort to be a friendly, helpful person. The poor dog doesn’t care if the savior in distress calls his God Allah or Yahweh, Huitzilopochtli, or none at all. The main thing is that he helps. The real problem are those who constantly spout pious sayings to elevate themselves — like the swarm of evangelical, filthy-rich TV preachers who roll their eyes in delight in front of cameras to shake hands with the horror clown in the White House.
