The topic of narcissism (lecture and discussion) The term narcissism is currently very popular. Some even speak of an era of narcissism in which we live. Many still associate the term with excessive self-love and self-centeredness, but this is misleading. Narcissists are actually extremely focused on and oriented towards others. Behind this is an excessive need for recognition. To understand this better, we need to take a closer look at what fundamentally drives, moves, and motivates us humans. The guest, DDr. Josef Ehrenmüller (born 1962 in Linz), attended elementary school in Gallneukirchen and graduated from Petrinum High School in Linz. Between 1980 and 1988, he studied medicine in Vienna, then completed psychoanalysis training, and has been working as a psychoanalyst in private practice in Vienna since 1995. His 'minor' studies in philosophy culminated in 2011 with a dissertation on the 'Psychology of Philosophy.' During a study stay in Manchester (2011/2012), he explored the 'Philosophy of Feelings.' He is known for his lectures and publications.
