What's it about?

The KISTE cordially invites you to a film evening: "Auf der Suche nach der gestohlenen Zeit" (A 2025, 86 minutes). In a world that is constantly speeding up, "Auf der Suche nach der gestohlenen Zeit" takes a journey through our perception of time. The film tells how the clock invented in a medieval monastery determines the rhythm of our work, our society, and our lives. It examines the influential formula "Time is Money" and asks: How can we shape time more consciously to feel fewer "stolen" moments and to experience more personal time with depth, presence, and meaning in our everyday lives? With great curiosity and through engaging and reflective interviews, it shows how time influences our actions and how new technologies affect our understanding of time. Filmmaker and director Konrad Wakolbinger will be present and will speak about his work and lead a discussion after the film. Concept & Direction: Konrad Wakolbinger Production: FreibeuterFilm Producers: Sabine Moser & Oliver Neumann Cinematography: Martin Putz Sound: Tong Zhang, Joseph Nikolussi, Simon Peter, Tjandra Warsosumarto, Ines Vorreiter, Benjamin Böhm, Bertram Knappitsch Music: Louie's Cage Percussion Editing: Julia Willi, Oliver Neumann Sound Design: Bernhard Bamberger Production Management: Vassili Firsov Director Konrad Wakolbinger: Born 1969 in Wegscheid/Germany, lives and works in Vienna.
