What's it about?

Based on an outstanding collection of Classical Modernism from Austria – consisting of representative exhibits by artists such as Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, Kubin, Carl Moll, Egger-Lienz, Eisenschitz et al. – the Schütz Art Museum fosters a discursive dialogue with contemporary art. Also worth mentioning is the almost unique Artists-In-Residence program in Europe, combined with humanitarian commitment on the African continent, as well as the fact that the building itself – both a landmark and a solitaire – is the world's first zero-energy museum, a promise to the future in line with the idea of sustainability.
