The "Association for the Renovation and Preservation of the Hammerschmiede St. Agatha" was founded in December 1992. The municipality of St. Agatha purchased the Hammerschmiede in Wiesenparz in October 1992, and the Hammerschmiedeverein (blacksmith's association) has renovated the Hammerschmiede with numerous volunteers, also preserving its original appearance. In 1998, two water wheels were manufactured and installed in the Hammerschmiede. In autumn 1999, after water law approval, the water supply from the Dittersdorfer and Mühlgraben streams was restored. On September 17, 2000, the renovated Hammerschmiede was officially opened and blessed during a morning gathering. In 2020, the Hammerschmiede was renovated with over 2,800 volunteer hours and additional support from many companies and private individuals. The roof and the entire wooden structure had to be renewed. The Hammerschmiede is often visited by school classes and tour groups.
