Nussknacker & Mäusekönigin
What's it about?
There are nights when everything remains as it always was. And there are others – nights when a doll suddenly opens its eyes and a Nutcracker comes to life. On Christmas Eve, Marie is given a small Nutcracker as a gift from her godfather Drosselmeyer. When the mice crawl out of every corner at midnight, Marie defends him against the Mouse Queen – and becomes so deeply immersed in his fairy tale that the line between dream and reality begins to blur. RuKuKu brings E. T. A. Hoffmann's Christmas classic to the stage with seven actors and a narrator – warm-hearted, playful, and with a wink to the whole family. Duration: approx. 40 minutes, no intermission. Recommended from age 6 and up – for younger children, we recommend a brief introduction to the themes of the play beforehand.
