Chor Ad Libitum sings music "at will" – and they love to do so. Their programs include music of all styles, from a cappella pieces to large choral-orchestral works, from the Renaissance to contemporary music. The choir is one of the most sought-after ensembles of its genre in Austria and performs in major concert halls, including the Brucknerhaus, the Festival Hall St. Pölten, and at the Tirol Festival Erl. Heinz Ferlesch founded Chor Ad Libitum in 1993 in his hometown of St. Valentin. He is also the artistic director of the Vienna Singers' Academy and conductor of the original sound orchestra Barucco. Together with oboist Andreas Helm, he also founded the original sound orchestra and consort Barucco, which consists of internationally touring baroque musicians.
