Naked Cameo
What's it about?
With around 40 million streams and sold-out shows, Naked Cameo has long been one of Austria's most exciting indie acts. Their debut single "Luddite" propelled the trio: number 1 on the Austrian Viral Charts, top 6 in Germany, nominations for the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards, and performances at festivals such as Reeperbahn, Donauinselfest, FM4 Frequency Festival, and Eurosonic Noorderslag. What started in their parents' basement developed step by step. Lukas Maletzky, Patrick Pillichshammer, and Maria Solberger have been making music together since their youth. They are not a TikTok creation, but a band in the traditional sense: three personalities who have built a steadily growing fan base over the years. Returning to their roots—indie, rock, and pop—creates music that endures. For the first time, everything is independent and without contracts. In a time when everything must happen immediately, Naked Cameo focuses on time and quality rather than quantity. An album each year? Unthinkable. Music arises from friction, doubts, and patience. The path is tough. 2026 marks a new chapter. This time, the new album took three years to complete. Phase To Phase will be released on May 29, 2026. Characterized by guitar sounds and long harmonic sequences that seamlessly blend into the melody, while everything around forms a supporting, contrasting foundation. Phase To Phase will initially be available exclusively via Bandcamp and on vinyl. A bold financial move with a middle finger to certain streaming platforms. Live, they deliver pure honesty and energy: sweat, pressure, and crunch instead of polished staging. Guitars meet driving drums and raw synths, close to the audience, without safety distance. Each show becomes an intense moment between band and crowd. Naked Cameo consists of: Lukas Maletzky – vocals, guitar; Patrick Pillichshammer – drums; Maria Solberger – synths.
