What's it about?

In the snowy heart of the Sauwald in Upper Austria's Innviertel, we invite you into a world of thousands of lights and enchanting huts, surrounded by the aroma of roasted apples and Christmas music. Far from the daily pre-Christmas stress, you can relax and get into the Advent season at our Waldweihnacht (forest Christmas). Our Christmas market in the forest is considered one of the most beautiful in Upper Austria! During the Advent weekends, the forest transforms into a romantic Christmas wonderland. A flying Christkind (Christ child) provides heavenly surprises, while ponies and alpacas, the Wichtelstube (gnome's room), and fairy tales in the tipi tent light up the scene. More than 60 vendors showcase their traditional crafts around the Waldweihnacht stage. Additionally, roasted and baked delicacies invite visitors to enjoy and linger.
