Luciano Biondini & Emiliano D’Auria Brooklyn Bound
What's it about?
His compositions are strongly improvisational, with a focus not on solo virtuosity but on the collective dimension: Emiliano D’Auria, pianist of Brooklyn Bound, finds inspiration in Mediterranean and Afro-American jazz culture and invites listeners to deeply explore this music with his American-Italian ensemble. Accordionist Luciano Biondini is one of the great virtuosos of his craft. Trained as a classical musician, he discovered jazz at age 25 and eventually developed a musical language in which the passion for traditional songs from his Italian homeland is audible. Line-up: Emiliano D’Auria Brooklyn Bound Philip Dizack | trumpet Jaleel Shaw | alto saxophone Emiliano D’Auria | piano & composition Jacopo Ferrazza | double bass Joe Dyson | drums Luciano Biondini | accordion
