Danish String Quartet
What's it about?
The members of the Danish String Quartet have been playing together since childhood. Over the years, they have grown into one of the most exciting Scandinavian ensembles of our time. They perform not only with brilliance classical repertoire, including Dmitri Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 14 in F-sharp major, but also dedicate themselves with equal passion to original compositions and arrangements of Nordic folk tunes. At their debut at the Brucknerhaus Linz, they will also feature film music: the soundtrack of the Western 'There Will Be Blood' was composed by none other than Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.
