What's it about?

Antisemitism is back. It was never truly gone, but in recent years, resentment against Jews has increased significantly and, like all forms of group-based hostility, causes concern and resistance. The lecture series aims to reveal the historical roots of antisemitism and, using the example of the Holocaust, to demonstrate the murderous dimension that state policies of antisemitism can assume. In another lecture, the continuation of antisemitism in Austria after 1945 will be discussed. The series concludes with an expert discussion analyzing current antisemitism, its causes, and its consequences for democracy and a culture of peaceful coexistence. Moderators: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Marcus Gräser, Univ.Prof. Mag. Dr. Ernst Langthaler Free admission!
