Seven artists are bringing collages to shop windows around the Linz Parish Square. Not in a gallery, but among coffee, wool, paper, jewelry, shoes, and carpets: from October 22 to November 22, 2026, seven Upper Austrian artists will display their collages in the shop windows of eight stores on and around the Linz Parish Square. The exhibition is part of "Club Collega regional – weltweit," an international collage project that will be visible simultaneously in 84 locations worldwide from Canada to Japan this fall. The initiative "Club Collega regional – weltweit" traces back to the Museum "Haus des Papiers" in Berlin and sees itself as an international grassroots cultural movement for collage: The regional groups organize their exhibitions independently and remain autonomous in their design. They are connected through the shared timeframe and international network. The Linz group has devised its own concept for the exhibition: instead of gathering the works in a closed exhibition space, they are distributed across the Linz Parish Square and its surroundings. From many individual works and locations, a collage in the urban space emerges. Anyone wishing to see the exhibition moves from shop to shop and may discover not only art but also the Parish Square anew.
