What's it about?

The Museum Ebensee, located in the historic Salzamt from 1604, combines the industrial, social, and cultural history of the Salzkammergut region with local customs and traditional crafts. The exhibition is dedicated to the Ebensee saltworks, everyday life, tourism, and the traditions of the town that have arisen from social history. For the 'ORF Long Night of Museums,' visitors can enjoy guided tours with musical accompaniment. A special focus is the special exhibition about sculptor Hans Greil, an artist and director of the Holzfachschule Ebensee, who significantly influenced wood carving and wood sculpture in the Salzkammergut. Guided tours run from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
