The Linz wine festival 'Wein ist Kunst' has been held in Linz's Old Town for 30 years, developing into one of the largest wine-related events in the Upper Austrian capital. A special highlight of the event is certainly its location – the historic center of Linz. ------------------------------------ Wein ist Kunst 2026 until August 29, 2026 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Landhauspark & Arkadenhof OÖ Landhaus ------------------------------------ From August 27 to 29, 2026, winemakers from all over Austria will once again present their fine wines starting at 3 PM. One or two wines from Austria's neighboring countries will also be among them. With several thousand visitors per event day, 'Wein ist Kunst' is a wine hotspot of the year known far beyond the provincial borders. "mein Glas für …" the Charity We are particularly proud to have created not only an event tradition but also a charity tradition with 'Wein ist Kunst'. This year, there will again be the 'Wein ist Kunst' campaign "mein Glas für…" (my glass for...). As in previous years, visitors can combine enjoyment with a good cause and make a glass donation, thereby supporting a child and their family. … Linz Wine of the Year This year, a white wine will again be crowned "Linz Wine of the Year". In a blind tasting, appearance, smell & taste will be evaluated. All winemakers of the 'Wein ist Kunst' wine festival are eligible to participate. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, August 27, directly after the opening at the winner's stand.
