Built from Sand

What's it about?

This summer, the "coolest exhibition space in the city" will become a sand landscape that you can help shape. In the KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd by pro mente OÖ, a room-filling installation is being created that evokes associations with beaches, the sea, and holidays. With a lot of sand, about a ton, in a round table object and simple tools, sandcastles, landscapes, and entire sand worlds can be built. The space becomes a place of encounter, play, and concentration. The offer is aimed at people aged 14 and over and can be used in two ways: as a guided format, where the KunstRaum team accompanies the process and provides support if needed - or as an open space offer, where the showroom, material, and tools can be used independently, for example, for a creative summer evening with friends.
