What's it about?

Marc Günther Müller (born 1993 in Düsseldorf), lives and works in Vienna, and has been studying painting in Anne Speier's class at the Linz University of Art since 2024. The exhibition "Schlüsselübergabe" (Handover of Keys) has the theme of work, as a physical quantity, as a task to be performed, or as a place or the attainment of physical aesthetics. The work process is always in the foreground, being the start and goal, as well as the path to the artistic work itself. Generally, Marc Günther Müller's artistic practice oscillates between painting and installation, as well as concepts of the readymade and objets trouvés.In the exhibition "Schlüsselübergabe", 5 objects are on display as a spatial installation, with which the artist, partly autobiographically, deals with the generational change in craft businesses and industry. The title also serves as a bridge between the artists who preceded him and those who will follow him in exhibiting at the Infopoint of the Linz University of Art.
