With curiosity and courage, she takes her own path and questions the rules of adults. Above all, she refuses to be frightened. In this very lively dramatization by Florian Dietel, Alice in Wonderland encounters the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, and many other characters. No one is allowed to tell the truth, because the Queen of Hearts rules with cruelty. Are they all crazy because they constantly lie, or because they are afraid — or both? Lewis Carroll's book was first published in July 1865. The book was immediately popular after its release, with many enthusiastic readers, including the young Oscar Wilde and Queen Victoria.
