Two generations and one passion. Art brings grandmother and granddaughter together for the first time in an exhibition. Grandmother Emilie Kamin was a photographer in Vienna and fulfilled her dream of a house in the Waldviertel to live in harmony with tradition and nature. This is also reflected in her artistic works. The restoration of old farmhouse furniture and painting from nature were particularly important to her. In addition to watercolour and acrylic works, the exhibition also shows her icon paintings. Granddaughter Ursula Emilie Kamin, fashion designer and dancer, received her artistic training at the Hetzendorf Fashion School and the Vienna State Opera. She prefers fine lines, which she puts on paper with ink. The influences of the British illustrator, poet, graphic artist and caricaturist Aubrey Beardsley and the Russian-French stage and costume designer and Art Deco fashion designer Erté are palpable in her works. Two generations whose styles could not be more different.
