What's it about?
Get ready for apples! Discover with us the hidden treasure of the mysterious gardens of the Zwettl Abbey! There, ancient and rare apple and pear varieties grow, which you can get to know during a very special tasting. Have you ever tried a sweet apple – an apple without any acidity? Together, we will press fresh juice, make crispy apple chips, and create our own muesli bars. Of course, there will be plenty of tasting, chopping, and experimenting! The event takes place over two days. The meeting point is at the entrance to the gymnasium of the Zwettl Abbey Middle School. The cost for both days is 38 euros, including materials. Please bring an apron, indoor shoes, and a screw-top jar with at least 300 ml capacity. Registration is with herbal educator Christiane Klinger (Tel.: 0664 / 8596817, Email: christiane.klinger@gmx.at). Group A: Tuesday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 28, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Group B: Wednesday, October 28, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm and Thursday, October 29, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Join us on an exciting journey into the world of old fruit varieties and become a juice presser, apple chip expert, and muesli bar artist yourself! The event is part of the Interreg project “ATCZ00007 CISTERSCAPES VB-Zw-ZnS.”
