Saturday Family Hiking

What's it about?

New leisure activity from Günther Schneeberger. Hikes in the Waldviertel are offered every four weeks. (The hikes take place on the Saturday of the calendar week that is divisible by four without a remainder.) We will drive together in private cars to the various hiking destinations in the Waldviertel. The meeting point is at 8:00 AM at the Echsenbach municipal office (or the indicated driving time later at the start of the hike). The routes will be between 5 and 10 km. The tour route will be announced 3 to 6 days before the date. The hike takes place in all weather conditions. Hiking route for 11.07.2026: Meeting point: 8:00 AM municipal office or 8:25 AM Sprögnitz – Parking lot P2 (opposite Sonnentor). Hike to the Aubergwarte. 9.9 km. Tour route: via Hängsberg to Engelbrechts, a section on the L 8262, ascent to the Auberg – Aubergwarte, the Waldviertler Kulturpfad to Königsbach and back to Sprögnitz on an asphalted farm road.
