Maria Taferl is a small pilgrimage site in the Melk district of Lower Austria, widely known for its baroque basilica, which is one of Austria's most important Marian pilgrimage sites. The Maria Taferl Volunteer Fire Brigade celebrates its 130th anniversary - a proud jubilee that will be duly honored with a festive community celebration. Fire brigade festivals are among the social highlights of village life in Lower Austria: With live music, festivities, and the gathering of the village community, this anniversary celebration offers an atmospheric afternoon and evening for all generations. From 3 PM, the entire community is invited to toast 130 years of voluntary commitment together.
