"Method Acting" is a form of acting developed by Lee Strasberg specifically for realistic performance in front of the camera, which enables actors to portray a role credibly. In doing so, one draws from one's own world of experience and feelings and retrieves the desired emotions from one's own memories of concrete situations, objects, or places. Among the most famous representatives of this acting style are Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, Johnny Depp, Dustin Hoffman, and Christian Bale. The credo of this seminar is: Don't act! So don't just pretend, but use your own psyche to breathe life into the scene, to blur the boundaries between play and reality, and thus to emotionalize the audience.
