The plundering by Hussites from Bohemia has devastated the northern Danube countries, and Albrecht is forced to defend his lands. In his desperation, he calls the peasants to arms by conscripting every tenth peasant to join his army. This decision highlights the urgency of the situation, as the regular forces are not sufficient to fight the well-organized Hussites.
