What's it about?
The Franz-Josefs Railway will be future-proof in the coming years. To achieve this, the existing line between Gmünd and Vienna will be modernized according to a joint concept by ÖBB and the State of Lower Austria. As part of this, the railway crossing at Großweikersdorf at Schafberg and Raiffeisenstraße will be discontinued and replaced by a pedestrian underpass. We are pleased to inform you as the responsible project management, together with the market town of Großweikersdorf, personally about the current status of the planning for the pedestrian underpass and invite you warmly to our information evening. Thursday, September 24, 2026, 6:30 PM Municipal Office Großweikersdorf, Hauptplatz 7, 3701 Großweikersdorf The ÖBB project team and staff from the commissioned planning offices will be available as contacts.
