Variety Identification Day & Adventure Day at the Naturwerkstatt

What's it about?

Have you always wanted to know what variety your apple tree bears? Discover the taste of old apple varieties and have your apples identified by experienced pomologist Martina Schmidthaler. Please bring at least 5-6 well-formed, ripe, average apples per variety. For our younger guests, there's a special experience: press your own apple juice! Fun for all ages. Apple samples can also be dropped off 2-3 days beforehand at the Naturpark office. If interested, please register at 02712/20332 or info@naturpark-jauerling.at. At the same time, the Adventure Day at the Naturwerkstatt Jauerling will take place, where this time everything revolves around the apple. A nature guide from the Naturpark awaits you at the Naturwerkstatt Jauerling. She will be on site from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offers an exciting program for you and the whole family. You can come whenever you want. There is something for every age. At the researcher station, you can gain exciting insights into the world of small wonders with microscopes, e.g., take a close look at a butterfly wing! At the creative station, you can create unique works of art with natural materials, this time everything revolves around the apple. The Naturpark does not assume any supervisory duty. We welcome voluntary donations for the Naturpark. No registration is necessary. In case of heavy rain and storms, the Adventure Day will not take place.
