In 1924. Opportunity makes love, thinks the Minister, and he arranges a romantic tête-à-tête with an opposition secretary in a suite at the Sacher Hotel. But fate is not kind to him — however, it is very entertaining for the audience, because how this 'Lying Minister' stumbles from one catastrophe to the next is truly hilarious and wildly fast-paced! Apart from the affair, there is suddenly also a very annoying corpse that must be hidden from the suspicious Mrs. Sacher, the press, a shrewd waiter, and the jealous spouse.
