What's it about?

On two weekends in Advent, Rosenburg opens its gates to one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Lower Austria. This year, the market once again offers readings by the fireplace, Christmas concerts, traditional crafts, and the finest culinary delights. Crafts and the finest culinary delights Waldviertel artists and craftspeople present their works and special skills in the atmospheric rooms of Rosenburg Castle. Visitors have the unique opportunity to look over the shoulders of the artisans, for example, during live woodturning demonstrations. Culinary huts with their Christmas delicacies, as well as our Castle Tavern and our Schlossgasthof restaurant, cater to your physical well-being. Varied supporting program The Hoch- und Deutschmeister provide a festive Christmas atmosphere. Selected readings and concerts take place in the festively decorated meeting room by the fireplace. And for our "little" guests, there is pony riding and children's crafts. The traditional special demonstration by our falconry once again features the "Birds of Prey of the North" this year! Also this year, personalities will once again serve punch for a good cause once a day. The proceeds will go to the aid organization "Hilfe im eigenen Land".
