Cuarteto Argentino 'A note from Buenos Aires' (ARG/D/A/USA) Heinrich von Kalnein - Tenor & Soprano Saxophones, Flute; Andrés Hayes - Tenor Saxophone; Gina Schwarz - Bass; Chris Parker - Drums For many years, saxophonist/flutist Heinrich von Kalnein has also been based in Argentina. There, he regularly collaborates with Andrés Hayes, one of the leading saxophonists in Buenos Aires. Andy, who also studied with the legendary American saxophonist George Garzone, leads his own projects there, sometimes performing with singer and pianist Fito Páez, one of the major stars of Argentine rock, and has recorded with the well-known pianist David Helbock. He also performs with Heinrich in several ensembles, including the Cuarteto Argentino, together with Austria's grande dame of bass Gina Schwarz and American drummer Chris Parker, who, after completing his master's studies at the Graz University of Arts (KUG), is now based in Vienna. Culinary: homemade hearty and sweet empanada varieties (Argentine specialty) from Altenburg "Algo Rico" by Sandra & Andi Federigi.
