What's it about?

LITERATURE IN THE CINEMA - "ON THE ROAD IN THE KREMSTAL" Reading: Martin Heidl & Wolfgang Kühn (both DUM) explore the Kremstal literarily Film: "Unterwegs im Kremstal" (2026) by Attila and Sonja Molnár about the nature, history, and people of the Kremstal – a cinematic journey from the sources of the Krems to its mouth near Altenwörth The film documentary "Unterwegs im Kremstal" invites you on an impressive journey through a landscape full of stories, encounters, and quiet beauty. The film shows the Kremstal from a personal, lively, and touching perspective, close to the people, close to the region, and close to what home can mean. Following "Kleinod Kamptal", this is the next documentary by local filmmaker Attila Molnár, based on a screenplay by Sonja Molnár. "The impressive film moves through a landscape that at first glance appears calm, almost familiar. But the longer you look, the more layers, indeed, the more livable and lovable nuances emerge. There is nature, which shows itself in all its diversity, from pristine forest areas to gentle wine landscapes. There are traces of the past that go back a long way, to a time when people lived very differently here. And there are the people of today who shape this region, often quietly, often unspectacularly, but always with deep connection. Also noteworthy is the path chosen for the release. Attila and Sonja Molnár deliberately forgo a classic distribution via television or streaming platforms. Instead, they focus on personal encounters and immediate experience in the cinema."
