What's it about?

Venice in the 18th century: the young violinist Cecilia grows up in the Ospedale della Pieta, an orphanage with a world-famous girls' orchestra. At concerts, she remains hidden behind a mask, without her own identity. Only with the arrival of Antonio Vivaldi does she get the chance to break out of the confines of her life and an arranged marriage. The new director recognizes her talent and encourages her to go her own way. Between strict rules and the liberating power of music, Cecilia fights for self-determination and freedom.
