What's it about?

Have you always wanted to try karate? Now is the perfect time! The KarateUNION NÖ warmly invites children, teenagers, and adults to explore the fascinating world of karate. No prior experience is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to learn new skills. More than just a sport: respect · discipline · strength. Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art. The name 空手 means "empty hand." However, training involves much more than punches, kicks, and techniques. Karate strengthens both body and mind: strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance are trained just as much as concentration, self-confidence, and self-control. In the dojo, we meet each other with respect, whether beginners or grandmasters. Through discipline and regular practice, inner and outer strength grow step by step. Children especially benefit greatly: they learn to follow rules, treat others fairly, and believe in themselves. Adults find valuable balance in training to complement work and daily life. Training times: Children: Tuesday, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Dojo Prinzersdorf Friday, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, MMS Melk Adults/Advanced: Tuesday, 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM, Dojo Prinzersdorf Thursday, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM, Dojo Prinzersdorf Friday, 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM, MMS Melk Beginners train together with advanced students. From the start, you will learn from experienced karate practitioners and be gradually introduced to the techniques. Locations: Dojo Prinzersdorf: Wachaustraße 45, 3385 Prinzersdorf; MMS Melk: Abt-Karl-Straße 41, 3390 Melk. What you need: No expensive equipment is necessary to get started: comfortable sportswear (e.g., T-shirt and training pants), barefoot (karate is traditionally trained without shoes). You do not need a karate uniform (Gi) at the beginning. Membership fee: No expensive equipment needed for beginners: children, teenagers, apprentices, students: €17 per month; adults (from 18 years): €25 per month; sibling discounts are available, just ask us!
