On the day before Christmas vacation in Mauritius, Kati decides: "I want to get married… and: I want a child!" Her boyfriend doesn't go along, she is annoyed because "that should be no problem." But he remains firm. Mauritius falls into water and Kati quickly goes to her sister Luiserl to spend Christmas in the countryside with her and her family. But there is no sign of the much-anticipated serenity… "Where is he then?" - Grandma can't find the marjoram, but still "celebrates Christmas" alone. "If only the Pope could see this…" she dreams and assures: "I’m not complaining, I’ve never complained!" Luiserl escapes from Grandma's "big, fat goose" into alcohol and Lilibet treats herself to "two tiny egg liqueurs." Hansi, the "man of the house," asks again: "Are you decorating the stupid tree or not?" Torn between wife, mother, and mother-in-law, he finally decides: "One humiliation after another." Sissy panics: "Lilibet, the rat is gone!" and Gregor demands: "Even carp have a right to life!" In the end, the Christmas tree burns and the rat sits in the manger. The usual family Christmas madness, or? Singing: "Don’t make a fuss, here comes the Christ Child!"
