Bunte Wolle gegen grauen Alltag
What's it about?
In this course, we will knit colorful patterns using Fair Isle technique. This means that we knit with two yarns at the same time and switch colors repeatedly. This creates beautiful patterns. With some tips and tricks, it is much easier than it seems! We will learn the appropriate yarn hold, how to keep the tension yarns under control on the back, what steek stitches are, etc. Participants can knit hats and wrist warmers or a small patterned pullover — to learn all the steps involved in knitting a Fair Isle sweater. It will definitely be a very colorful, creative weekend. October 30, 2026, Friday, from 4 PM to November 1, 2026, 12 PM. Instructor: Maria Nefischer, College for Arts and Crafts & Design, knitting designer, www.stricken-macht-gluecklich.at. Fee €155 plus material costs. Registration required.
