800 Years of Francis of Assisi. Numerous commemorations honor this year the saint Francis, who died on October 3, 1226. What does this person still have to say to us after 800 years? Much of his message seems more relevant today than ever. Behind a popular saint and many legends stands a critically questioning and God-seeking individual who challenges and questions our current lifestyle. Two Capuchin friars from Salzburg will speak about their lives following the example of the saint from Assisi. The Friends of St. Benedikt support projects of the BildungsZentrum and promote less affluent course participants. Members of the association receive discounted admission prices for selected events.
