What's it about?

Argument with a partner, squabble with a colleague, escalation in traffic – hardly a day goes by without nerve-wracking conflicts. Studies show that most arguments arise from trivialities. The trigger is almost always body language – and at the same time, the earliest warning sign that a conflict is brewing. An arrogant look, the haughty chin, or aggressive staring suddenly make words smell like a quarrel. Naturally, this gives Dynamite Doris the opportunity to immediately fire her verbal torpedoes, while Chair Circle Susanne heats up every conflict with her "We need to talk". The slick body language of Drafty Dieter reveals only one thing: "I ignore you and your feelings." As a result, a small issue quickly becomes an emotional injury that lingers and can even destroy relationships. Body language expert Stefan Verra demonstrates, with lots of wit, acting talent, and scientific know-how, how to recognize a conflict before it escalates. With plenty of self-irony, he also shows why "Let's stay factual" will guaranteed never work. By the end of the show, you will be able to decode the tiniest signals from your counterpart – and know how to skillfully de-escalate an escalation with facial expressions and gestures. Family celebrations, meetings, and holidays with your partner will then be what they are supposed to be: harmonious. As always with the body language expert, in the end, you won't know whether you laughed more or learned more.
