What's it about?

SIE WERDEN SCHAUEN MIT DEN OHREN - this is what filmmaker, producer, adventurer, jazz fan, and the curious Rudolf Klingohr calls his music performance. As a curious person, he is also never short of ideas – he, who cannot read or write music notes, wanted to put the music he had in his mind onto paper – initial attempts, colorful lines on a few DIN A4 sheets, each instrument in a different color. He was able to enlist a few friendly musicians to turn these lines into sounds, and it worked well. This sparked his ambition, and he created a drawn score 11 meters long – for 8 instruments, each with its own color – and we will hear it as a world premiere on November 8th – see it – and hear it – and how do you show 11 meters of music to 8 musicians? Do the musicians pass by the score or does the score pass by the musicians? Well, you will see... and hear! This does not mean that your sense of hearing and seeing will fade, no, quite the opposite, you will enjoy it. The project will mark the festive opening of the Langenlois Autumn: an extraordinary live concert where drawn sheet music becomes the starting point of a musical performance. Together with the Renner family, the rooms in the staircase will become a special place for art and music. To end the evening on a festive note, food and drinks from 'Purzl's Paradiesgartl' in Vienna will be available after the concert for culinary enjoyment. Wine lovers can enjoy wines and sparkling wines from the cellar of the Steininger family.
