On Tuesday, August 11, "Paris Murder Mystery" promises a cinematic treat that is as exciting as it is humorous. In her cleverly told crime comedy, French director Rebecca Zlotowski combines international star power with French esprit and sends Oscar winner Jodie Foster on a turbulent and entertaining search for clues through Paris. American Lilian Steiner has lived in Paris for many years and works there as a respected psychotherapist. When one of her patients dies under mysterious circumstances, she refuses to accept the official explanation of suicide. Together with her ex-husband Gabriel, she sets out to find the truth – and gets deeper and deeper into a web of secrets, suspicions, and surprising twists. With great charm, Rebecca Zlotowski combines crime, comedy, and a relationship film into an elegant and entertaining cinematic experience. Between pointed dialogues, subtle humor, and exciting investigations, an intelligent film unfolds that keeps its audience guessing until the end. Alongside Jodie Foster, some of the most renowned actors of French cinema can be seen, including Daniel Auteuil, Virginie Efira, Mathieu Amalric, Vincent Lacoste, and Luàna Bajrami.
