Mieze Medusa (born 1975) lives in Vienna. She has been performing as a rapper and spoken-word artist on international stages since 2002 and has carried her MC name into prose. Her debut novel "Freischnorcheln" was published in 2008. Since then, she has published prose texts, collections of poetry slam texts, and recordings by the hip-hop duo mieze medusa & tenderboy, as well as theater works and musical experimental projects. Other novels by Mieze Medusa include: "Du bist dran" (2021), "Was über Frauen geredet wird" (2022), and "Hätte ich es vorher gewusst, hätte ich es genauso gemacht" (2025).
