What's it about?

Already for the 24th time, we warmly invite you to the Gemeindewandertag (community hike) on October 26. This year, the Marterlwanderung (pilgrimage walk to sacred shrines) will be continued. The day begins with the hikers' mass at 09:00 AM in the Parish Church of Grünau. At 09:45 AM, the hike starts at the church square and initially leads towards Grünsbach. This year's hiking route takes us from the parish church towards Steindl - Grünsbach – Kirchner – Bayer – Enne and Haus Ziegelwanger (Grünsbach 10). After about 3 kilometers, the hikers will find a small refreshment station there. This station is organized by the hunting associations I & II, offering a small snack and drinks. Afterward, the route continues over Steinkogler – Römerweg – Lechner (Grünsbach 2), where a small drinks station is set up by "the friends of the Antlashof". The hike then proceeds over the Antlashof – Kendler, with a view of the Rückhaltebecken (retention basin) Aggschussbach, further over Leitner – Stuphann to Haus Burmetler (Toberer, Grünau 24). There, a large refreshment station organized by the Brass Band Hofstetten-Grünau awaits the hikers before returning to the church. The Gemeindewandertag covers a route of 11 kilometers, passing 14 field monuments. Sturdy footwear is required for the hike. Additionally, dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle. Horse accompaniment is not permitted on this hike. We look forward to many hikers and hope for a cozy day of walking in good weather.
